So I’ve recently discovered green juice about a month or so ago thanks to Inverted Elephant, my favorite yoga studio, and my hip trendy and health conscious Nana. I honestly thought I wouldn’t like the juice, being that it is super green and all and vegetables truly don’t seem to be my thing, but I really ended up LOVING it. After, having the green juice I feel full, but not heavy after having a big meal. I also end up with more energy in the morning than coffee alone, and for those of you who know me you know I drink coffee like it’s going out of style
So below is my recipe of how I make my juice in the morning! I hope y’all try it out, and let me know what you think!
Green Juice Recipe
Don’t forget to wash all of your fruits and veggies prior to juicing them!
Apple – 1
Cucumber – 1/2
Lemon – 1/2- 1(depending on how I feel)
Celery sticks – 2 ( I really LOVE celery, so if you aren’t a fan of a celery after taste, then only use 1.)
Kale – Handful**
Lettuce – Handful**
Ginger – This one is really up to you. I really love spicy and the ginger flavor. If you haven’t had Ginger before I’d start with a small piece of ginger and add more next time if you like it. Be careful though because it can overpower the juice if you use too much.
Mung Bean Sprouts – Handful** (Just a heads up they are slimy, which I had no clue the first time I touched them.) The sprouts are really great because they are packed with protein which helps keep you feeling full.
