The Secret to Healthy Skin
It’s the everyday things that are done with consistency that will give the results that are desired!
Ever noticed how some people have this beautiful naturally glowing skin? They aren’t wearing makeup and their skin is so even and clear! Want to know their secret? It’s pretty simple! They make the time to take take care of themselves! And no that doesn’t mean do a face mask one day and walk out with beautiful glowing skin for the next month. It’s the everyday things that are done with consistency that will give you the results that you desire!
Drink up! Water is so healthy for not just the rest of your body but your skin too! It helps your body flush out toxins which in turn helps your skin! So that iced coffee may be good, but maybe substitute one of those for water! It’ll make a difference!
Healthy skin starts from the inside out! So it should be no surprise that eating well will affect your skin too! You need those vitamins to be glowing from the inside out! Plus foods that are loaded in carbs and sugars cause inflammation in your body! Inflammation is not something that we want and in the long term it can cause a *breakdown in collagen and elastin, the fibers that give skin its elasticity and strength.
Get Some Sleep
For real! Under-eye bags can be hidden, but sleep can help make them go away too! Decreased sleep also negatively affects the pH balance of your skin which diminishes the skin’s natural glow! Plus you look better when you are happier. I don’t know about you, but I’m happier when I’m well rested!
Wash Your Face
It may sound simple, but it’s crucial. It’s easy for your pores to get clogged and cause all sorts of issues especially if you wear makeup! You don’t have to buy the most expensive face soap out there, but I recommend going with a more naturally based face wash and washing your face at least once a day preferably at night! Ideally twice a day, but I get it mornings can be tough and we all have busy lives. Just wash your face… at least once!
Keep your skin supple and hydrated by using moisturizer! Again, it doesn’t have to be anything crazy expensive, or special! Although I always recommend going with a more naturally based moisturizer. That way your body absorbs less harmful chemicals! Pick a moisturizer that’s best for your skin so your skin isn’t too oily or too dry! If you need help picking something out direct message me and I’d be happy to help you pick something that best suits you! If you can only moisturize once a day I recommend doing it at night! That way while you sleep your skin can absorb all of that amazing nutrients and hydration!
No Makeup Days!
I use to be a makeup addict and I wore it every day! It’s a fun way to express yourself! Plus if I had a break out I’d use makeup to hide it! Which didn’t really help my breakouts get better! I found when I stopped wearing makeup all the time my skin cleared up and I didn’t actually need it for a more even skin tone! Don’t get me wrong at first it sucked, but after a week or two my break outs started going aways! Now, I wear makeup when I feel like it, when I’m going out, or just for fun. I just don’t wear it every day! Because of this, I have seen vast improvements in my skin and the need for less and less foundation! Just don’t forget to take your makeup off!
