Hey guys,

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve shared with you my recent skin care routine, so I thought I’d update you on what I’m currently using and what’s been working for me lately. For the past 3 months my skin has been breaking out more than usual because I was getting lazy and not washing my makeup off like I was suppose to and not hydrating my skin enough.  When it comes to face lotions I’m pretty picky because I don’t like lotion that feels heavy on my skin which is one of the reasons why I haven’t been hydrating my face. So while I was Black Friday shopping this year I made it my mission to find a new skin care routine that was easy, that I could stick with, and that wouldn’t be too heavy on my skin.

My Morning Routine:

When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is wash my face.  It’s important to get your face wet first before you add the soap, so that the soap can lather and actually do its job.  Then I use Lancome’s Le Nettoyant Mousse The Smoothing & Purifying Foam Cleanser.  What I really love about this product, besides the fact that it gives me an AMAZING glow after, is that a little goes a long way and it really does a fantastic job at removing makeup.  I hate having to use makeup remover before I wash my face because I feel like it leaves my skin a bit oily even after I wash my face. With the  Lancome’s Smoothing & Purifying Foam Cleanser I usually do not have to use makeup remover and yet it is still gentle enough to use twice a day. After I wash my face I use Witch-hazel as a toner.

Next, I use Lancome’s La Creme D’Eau Smoothing & Plumping Water-Infused Cream.  What I absolutely adore about this product is that it is NOT heavy on my face at all, but my skin still feels supple and hydrated.  The only downside is that it doesn’t have SPF in it, which is something to consider especially if you know you are going to be outside all day.  Overall, it’s my favorite day face cream I’ve used so far, and really keeps your skin hydrated under a full face of makeup.

Then I use the Energie De Vie Illuminating * Anti-Fatigue Cooling Eye Gel under my eyes.  Usually, even though I just woke up, under my eyes are a bit swollen and this seems to help reduce the swelling and hydrates and smooth the skin under my eyes.  It has antioxidants and caffeine in it which really helps get rid of my dark circles and reduce the puffiness around my eyes.
Expert Tip: It feels even better when you put the Energie De Vie Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Cooling Eye Gel in the fridge.

My Evening Routine:

Depending on how much makeup I decided to put on that day usually dictates what I do first when removing my makeup.  If I’m fully contouring, using crazy eyeshadows, and wearing a crap ton of makeup I usually start by using a baby wipe to try and get my makeup off.  If that doesn’t work then I will use my least favorite thing of all, the makeup remover.  If i’m wearing an everyday makeup look I will usually skip the baby wipe and the makeup remover step and use the Lancome’s Le Nettoyant Mousse The Smoothing & Purifying Foam Cleanser. like I do in the morning.  Next, I use my witch-hazel toner.

How I hydrate my face and which face lotion I use in the evening usually depends on the day.  I really am loving Lancome’s Le Masque Nuit the Overnight recovery Sleeping Mask because it super hydrates my skin.  I usually use it about 3 times a week and the Lancome’s La Creme D’Eau Smoothing & Plumping Water-Infused Cream the rest of the week unless my skin is super dehydrated to avoid over moisturizing.  The Overnight recovery Sleeping Mask has antioxidants and vitamin E in it which is super good for your face and leaves my face feeling softer in the morning!

I don’t know if y’all noticed but I am super hooked on Lancome right now and so far it has really been clearing up my skin. It is amazing what a consistent and fabulous skin care routine will do for your skin!  What are your favorite skin care products? Be sure to let me know in the comments section below!
