“The difference between a flower and a weed is judgment.”

I poured water into my mug with a Jack Russell terrier on it and opened the peppermint tea pack. As I  dunked the bag into the piping hot water I noticed a saying on the end of the tea bag that said. “The difference between a flower and a weed is judgment.” This made me smile.  Odd some may say to smile at a quote like that, but it wasn’t odd or random to me.

Just the day before while I was walking Charlie I notice the gardeners had remove some plants near the sidewalk at my apartment.  Bits of their leaves still remained but for the part these purple and green large leaf flora were gone. For a moment I paused and wondered why? I knew these plants sort of sprang up out of nowhere, but I just assumed that they were intentionally placed there until I didn’t see them anymore.

Then it finally dawned on me.  The plants that were unusually beautiful that Charlie liked to pee on were indeed “weeds.” Which brings me back to the coincidence that is the Quote on my tea bag.  The only true difference between a flower and a weed is PERSPECTIVE, which is something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. Just last Monday I wrote out on a sticky note “You choose how you feel, good or bad. It’s all your perspective and outlook on life. The kind of hour, day, week, month, year, life you have is up to you.  It’s a choice. A change in attitude it’s a step closer to manifesting your dreams. It’s not to say that nothing bad will ever happen to you because it will, but it is up to YOU how you handle it and internalize it. It’s changing what only you can control and that is your own mind.

So choose happiness. Choose to let shit go that doesn’t serve you anymore.  Choose to enjoy your journey despite circumstances. Choose the direction of your life.  Make a choice. Don’t wait until tomorrow, till you reach your goal or till you have this or that to be happy.  Choose happiness now.
